-Used in lacquers, paints, thinners, adhesives, artificial leather, safety glass, cosmetics, and paint strippers.

-Used in the preparation of certain organic compounds, such as DAA, MIBK, MIBC, methyl isobutyl carbitol, methyl methacrylate, bisphenol-A, mesityl oxide, etc.

-Used as an extractant for vegetable oils, lubricants, and pharmaceuticals.

-Used as an acetylene gas absorber in acetylene gas storage tanks. -Used as a cleaning agent in the electronics industry.
